The Hong Kong Book Fair is not only the city's highly attended book publishing event. It's also a great way for new authors to introduce their work to readers all across mainland Asia.
Coby McGee may just be one of the hundreds of these authors, but that doesn't make his book any less impactful and motivational for those who come across it. Titled “Treasures of Darkness,” the book shares both his life story as well as what it taught him about finding God and walking with Jesus despite the darkness that one encounters in life.
McGee describes himself as a businessman from Texas but has dedicated the better part of 50 years to living out his Christian faith, with the book serving as his testimony as well as the main tool for evangelization. In “Treasures of Darkness,” he describes his childhood in a very troubled home, which led to the shadow of fear and shame hanging over his soul.
Despite that, he also describes just how God's light shined the brightest in his darkest moments and how He does the same to anyone who will but humbly call on His name.
“Treasures of Darkness” can certainly be a great resource for other like-minded evangelists at this year's Hong Kong Book Fair. They can find it on display at the self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet's exhibit.
