Industry veteran brings deep operational expertise and community-first leadership approach to growing Planet Depos' nationwide court reporting network.

WASHINGTON, Jan. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Planet Depos, the largest independently-owned global provider of court reporting and litigation technology, is excited to announce that Sara Giammanco has joined the company as the Senior Director of Court Reporting. She will oversee the growth, engagement, and support of Planet Depos' independent contractor court reporter network.

Sara has a lifelong connection to the court reporting industry, beginning her career when she was just 15 years old. Throughout her professional journey, she's held a variety of operational and senior leadership roles. After graduating from court reporting school at the College of Marin, she earned her California Certified Shorthand Reporter (CSR) license, passing the exam on her first attempt – an achievement held only by a small percentage of candidates. Her experience as a working court reporter, combined with her background in production and operations, gives her a deep understanding of the challenges and expectations independent contractors face today.

In her new role, Sara will focus on enhancing communication and strengthening engagement across recruitment, training, and ongoing professional development for independent court reporters. She will also work closely with internal teams to support conference and convention involvement, technology adoption, and long-term retention initiatives.

Based in Los Angeles, Sara remains actively involved in the court reporting community and currently serves as a director on the STAR board. Outside of work, she is a devoted baseball fan and enjoys playing pickleball, competitive tennis, and spending time with her fiancé, Josh, and their German shepherd, Jeter.
